Product description

Small vase - Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec - Aristide Bruant at his cabaret

Vase with the reproduction of the work Aristide Bruant in his cabaret by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.

The young Count de Toulouse-Lautrec, short and limping, was not destined for a traditional military career. He felt at home in Montmartre, with its humour, irony and costume parties so typical of the fin de siècle.

He was a regular customer of the cabaret Le Mirliton and drew murals and magazine covers for its owner, the singer Aristide Bruant. But it is the poster of the Moulin Rouge that will make him immediately famous.
